For Patients
Computer Use & Wireless Internet Communication
Holy Cross Hospital offers free wireless Internet access
to patients and visitors throughout the hospital. Guests are permitted to
bring wireless-enabled laptops for communication needs.
Connecting to the
Internet
To connect to our wireless network, users must have an 802.11b/g-networking
card. Once the computer is on and configured to “guestnet001,” the
user should open a Web browser and complete the access page information
that appears on the computer screen. Upon completion of these steps,
users should be able to access the Web.
Please note that our staff is not able to provide
technical support to guests, and patients and visitors are responsible
for their property during their time at the hospital. Anti-virus
and firewall protections are recommended because the Internet service
is not secure. The hospital does not permit wired communications, access
to inappropriate websites or printing.
