Compassionate Care for Behavioral Health Needs
Holy Cross Health’s team of health care providers are dedicated to providing emergency psychological evaluation for all ages and inpatient care for the adult population.
Our highly trained behavioral health care providers at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital serve around-the-clock to evaluate patients who are experiencing a mental health crisis. These patients are seen in secure, designated areas of the hospitals’ emergency department, and evaluated for both physical and mental health problems.
Patients who would benefit from psychiatric inpatient treatment may be referred to Holy Cross Germantown Hospital’s secure Behavioral Health unit. The hospital’s comprehensive center for behavioral health is designated for patients who voluntarily make the decision to seek psychiatric health services.
The six-bed unit has been designed not only for maximum patient safety, but also to provide a supportive healing environment, with a recreation/dining room, group therapy room, and access to an enclosed private courtyard.
Care for behavioral health patients at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital is provided 24-hours-a day, seven days a week by a team of mental health experts, including specially trained psychotherapists, psychiatric nurses and psychiatrists.
Patients have access to an array of behavioral health services including:
- Individual and group psychotherapy
- Family therapy
- Medication therapy
- Social services
- Recreational and occupational therapy
Upon discharge from inpatient care, the behavioral health team will help patients find appropriate follow-up services including outpatient therapy, inpatient treatment or long-term care depending on their individual needs.
