(Silver Spring, Md.) - Holy Cross Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin Madden, MD, PhD; Marc Potash; and Veronique Wiedower, CSC, to its Board of Directors. The Holy Cross Health Foundation also welcomes five new members to its board — Jeff D. Donohoe; Samir G. Garcia; Suresh K. Gupta, MD; Sigrid C. Haines; and Moussa Moaadel.

Jeff D. Donohoe is president of R-PCI Construction, a general contracting and construction management company based in Mount Airy, Md. He previously served as its vice president of operations from October to December 2017. Prior to joining R-PCI Construction, Mr. Donohoe was an executive at The Donohoe Companies, Inc. in Washington, D.C. He also has many civic affiliations including the Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce; Hearts and Homes for Youth; The Barnesville School of Arts and Sciences; Leadership Montgomery; and Montgomery College Construction Management Curriculum Committee.

Samir G. Garcia is a Certified Public Accountant with 15 years of experience in the financial and banking industry. Mr. Garcia currently works as a Vice-President for Government Contractor Lending and Commercial and Industrial loans for FVCbank, where he serves the business community by performing lending and key financial, fiscal and credit analysis. Prior to joining FVCbank, Mr. Garcia was a Portfolio Manager for EagleBank. He is an active member of the community and serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce and the Montgomery County Police Foundation.

Suresh K. Gupta, MD, is a practicing physician with 32 years of experience in internal medicine and geriatrics at Holy Cross Hospital. Governor Hogan appointed Dr. Gupta to the Maryland Board of Physicians where he served two full terms from 2008 to 2016, and was recognized as a fellow at the Federation of State Medical Boards for his service to the state of Maryland. Dr. Gupta is also one of the 29-member team to draft an Opioid Policy for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Gupta's community service includes his role as president of the Asian-American Inter Community Service, Inc., and as member of the Montgomery County Human Rights Commission and Board of Directors at Montgomery Hospice.

Sigrid Haines is a partner at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, LLP. Ms. Haines has practiced healthcare law, representing hospitals, physicians and other healthcare providers, at firms in Bethesda and Washington, D.C., for approximately 30 years. She has a particular interest in credentialing and patient care issues, as well as in billing and licensing investigations and other areas of compliance enforcement and regulatory compliance. Ms. Haines is admitted to the bar in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and New York.

Robin Madden, MD, PhD, is a board-certified pediatrician who also holds a Ph.D. in psychology. Dr. Madden is an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at George Washington Medical School and has held multiple hospital, medical staff and private practice leadership positions, including president of the Medical and Dental Staff of Holy Cross Hospital from 2016-2017, current Chair of the Holy Cross Hospital Credentials Committee, and service on the Holy Cross Hospital Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Madden also serves on the American Board of Pediatrics. She brings a wealth of experience in clinical and business matters and expertise in community and population health. Dr. Madden also serves on the Holy Cross Health Board's Corporate Compliance and Organizational Integrity Committee.

Moussa Moaadel entered the world of real estate in 1968. He has been highly effective in the sale of luxury homes, having transactions with celebrities, ambassadors and a former president of the United States. He has developed and sold over 800 lots in Maryland, Virginia and the Washington D.C. area. Mr. Moaadel has been featured in major publications from Japan to Israel including Time Magazine. He has been praised for hard work, integrity and unparalleled success.

Marc Potash is the founder and managing partner of RRV a Maryland based Venture Capital firm. Mr. Potash is also the founder and chair of AuthX and CERTIFY, two leading SaaS-based authentication platforms. Prior to RRV, Mr. Potash was the founder, chair and CEO of SecureNet, a multi-billion dollar payment processing company that developed the world’s first web-based recurring billing application. SecureNet ultimately grew the recurring billing concept into an industry-leading payment platform used by merchants such as Wells Fargo, GEICO, Ameriprise Financial, Duncan Donuts, and Schwan Foods. Mr. Potash sold SecureNet in 2012 and RRV was established. RRV provides both tactical and strategic guidance to, and invests in, early stage SaaS-based visionary ideas. Mr. Potash also serves on the Holy Cross Health Board's Mission and Population Health Committee.

Sister Veronique Wiedower, CSC, brings extraordinary competencies and expertise to the Holy Cross Health Board of Directors as a member from the Catholic congregation. She is currently President of the Sisters of the Holy Cross and has served as a director for multiple hospitals within the Trinity Health system. In addition to having a wealth of mission experience, she brings considerable expertise in quality, strategic planning, community health/social determinants of health, and related areas. Sister Wiedower also serves on the Holy Cross Health Board's Quality, Patient Safety and Human Resources Committee.
