Holy Cross Health Provides More Than $48 Million in Community Benefit
Holy Cross Hospital reinvests its earnings into sustainable community benefit programs to improve the health of all those we serve and to ensure access to health care for all.
In fiscal 2013, Holy Cross Health provided more than $48 million in community benefits, including more than $26 million in financial assistance. Through free life-saving screenings, support groups, health, wellness and exercise classes — and the provision of vital health care services, regardless of ability to pay — we recorded nearly 350,000 encounters with community members in 2013.
The 2013 Community Report, Commitment, Collaboration, Change, describes how Holy Cross Health has identified unmet community health needs and focuses on four innovative programs and partnerships that empower community members to manage and improve their own health.
