About
Lamia Amsler, MD, is a compassionate, board-certified internist with over 30 years of experience in medicine. She earned her medical degree in 1991 from the Institutes of Medical Sciences in Annaba, Algeria, and further specialized in cardiology, receiving her degree in 1995. After moving to the United States in 2002, Dr. Amsler completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, New Jersey.
Throughout her career, Dr. Amsler has developed a holistic approach to health care, focusing on preventative care and the management of chronic diseases. She believes in treating patients as whole individuals—addressing not only their physical health but also understanding their emotional being.
Known for her warm, patient-centered approach, Dr. Amsler takes the time to listen, understand, and personalized care for each of her patients, treating them with the same respect and compassion she would offer a family member. For her, medicine is not just a profession but a way to contribute to her community, make meaningful connections, and positively impact lives.
As she often says, “Being a physician is a privilege and a way of giving back.”
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Amsler enjoys baking, gardening, spending quality time with her husband, and traveling the world to learn from other cultures and perspectives.
