Loren Wilkerson, MD, is a geriatric specialist who brings a
patient-focused approach to the care of older adults at Holy
Cross Health Partners at Asbury Methodist Village. After earning
her medical degree from Ohio State University Wexler Medical
Center, Dr. Wilkerson completed her residency training in internal
medicine and a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Duke University
School of Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine
and geriatric medicine.

Dr. Wilkerson is skilled at taking a step back and putting
together the whole picture for her patients, who often
see many different specialists. “I enjoy educating my patients
 about their care and answering their questions,” she says. “I find
working with older adult patients and addressing their complex
needs very rewarding.”

She values the relationships that she establishes with her
patients and their families, learning from them and benefiting
from their wisdom. “Getting to know my patients helps me
 understand and respect their choices about how they want to live
at this point in their lives. I want to make sure that the treatment plan
is aligned with each patient’s individual goals,” says Dr. Wilkerson.

When she isn’t working, Dr. Wilkerson enjoys spending time
with family, traveling, attending live sporting events and listening to music.
She also dedicates time to volunteering at her church and her local schools.
