About
Nooshin Farr, MD, PhD, FACP, is a board-certified internal
medicine physician at Holy Cross Health Partners
with more than 30 years of experience. She joined
Holy Cross Health Partners in 2021 For Dr. Farr, being
an excellent primary care physician goes beyond conducting
examinations and ordering tests. Empathy and two-way
communication – talking with, and listening to, her
patients – are the foundation of her primary care practice.
Her approach to patient care is to “treat each patient the
way I would like to be treated myself, taking time to really
listen so that I understand their needs and goals,” says Dr. Farr.
“We work as a team, making health care decisions together.”
Dr. Farr is highly skilled at coordinating care for patients
with chronic conditions and complex medical needs. She values
the trust her patients place in her. “I try to foster a relationship
where my patients can feel comfortable talking with me about
anything. Keeping the lines of communication open is key,” she says.
She earned her medical degree in Iran and a PhD in pathology
from the University of London. Her career has spanned multiple
areas of expertise, including outpatient primary care, inpatient
hospital care and healthcare management. Dr. Farr is a fellow of
the American College of Physicians.
Outside of work, Dr. Farr loves spending time with her
family, particularly her grandchildren. She enjoys ballroom dancing,
Playing the piano and exercising every day. She also volunteers
her time on three committees in her residential community.
