Tigist Tilahun, CRNP

Tigist Tilahun, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), has
been part of Holy Cross Health Partners in Kensington since
December 2020. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
degree at Old Dominion University, followed by a master’s degree
and certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Marymount University.
Before joining Holy Cross Health Partners, Tilahun had more than 10 years
 of experience working in acute care facilities and primary care practices.

She is passionate about preventive care and works closely with
 patients to promote healthy lifestyle choices and behavior changes
to prevent or slow the progression of chronic diseases. “Since many
chronic illnesses are linked to specific risk factors or behaviors,
early intervention and wellness counseling are key to helping
patients meet their goals and improve their health,” says Tilahun.
Her expertise in patient education empowers and encourages her
patients to make informed decisions about their care.

In her free time, Tilahun enjoys spending quality time with family
 and friends, traveling to new places, both locally and internationally,
and doing healthy and fun physical activities.
