(Silver Spring, MD)—Holy Cross Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Allen P. DeLeon, CPA, to the Holy Cross Health Foundation Board of Directors. Mr. DeLeon is a founding partner of DeLeon & Stang a local Washington D.C. area accounting and consulting firm, serving clients and supporting area nonprofits. Mr. DeLeon leads the firm’s Assurance Services practices and has a breadth of expertise in providing audit, tax, financial and advisory services.

“I’m excited for Allen to join our Foundation Board of Directors,” said Norvell Coots, MD, president and CEO, Holy Cross Health. “Allen will be a transformational part of our fundraising efforts over the next several years, as we embark upon ambulatory expansion and bringing care, health and wellness closer to home for each individual we serve.”

Allen DeLeon has been interested in the Holy Cross Health Foundation for some time, so when an opportunity to join the board came up, Mr. DeLeon didn’t hesitate to volunteer. “In these difficult times, hospitals and health organizations have been challenged like never before. Coming from a financial service background, I feel that I can help the Foundation,” says Allen DeLeon. “Over the next two years, I’m excited to help further the support of necessary services like the expansion of innovative cancer care through the building of a new Cancer Center or the Kevin J. Sexton Fund to Increase Access and Improve Community Health,” said Mr. DeLeon.
