NAPBC Accreditation | Holy Cross Hospital Breast CenterThe Holy Cross Hospital Breast Center, the first center in Montgomery or Prince George's County to be accredited, was granted a three-year reaccreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), which is administered by the American College of Surgeons. The hospital was first accredited by the NAPBC in 2011, and this latest recognition comes with three best practice commendations.

Accreditation by the NAPBC is only given to those centers that have voluntarily committed to provide the highest level of quality breast care and have undergone a rigorous evaluation process. The designation reinforces Holy Cross Hospital’s commitment to comprehensive breast care, a multidisciplinary team approach to treatment using nationally recognized guidelines, and patient access to education and information about ongoing clinical trials and new treatment options. Standards of the accreditation include proficiency in the areas of center leadership, clinical management, research, community outreach, professional education and quality improvement.
