Holy Cross Hospital Provides More Than $47 Million in Community Benefit
Holy Cross Hospital reinvests its earnings into sustainable community benefit programs to improve the health of all those we serve and to ensure access to health care for all.
In fiscal year 2012, Holy Cross Hospital provided more than $47 million in community benefit, including more than $23 million in free or reduced-cost services. Two years ago, the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission named Holy Cross Hospital one of only five exemplary community benefit programs in the state. This year, we were one of only four hospitals to be awarded a perfect score for our community benefit program.
The 2012 Community Report, Listening. Responding. Improving Health, describes how Holy Cross Hospital has identified unmet community health needs and highlights five innovative Holy Cross Hospital programs that demonstrate how we listen to our community's needs, respond with meaningful programs, and evaluate our efforts to ensure that we are improving our community's health.
