Holy Cross Hospital Receives Alliance for Workplace Excellence Awards for 2013

(Silver Spring, Maryland) - Since 1999, Holy Cross Hospital of Silver Spring, Maryland has been recognized by the Alliance for Workplace Excellence for accomplishments in creating an outstanding workplace. This year, the hospital was selected as a 2013 AWE Workplace Excellence Seal of Approval (14^th consecutive year), a 2013 Health & Wellness Seal of Approval Winner (5^th consecutive year), a 2013 Diversity Champion Award Winner (2nd consecutive year, and a 2013 EcoLeadership Award Winner (fourth year.) Holy Cross Hospital is the only hospital in Maryland to receive recognition by the Alliance for Workplace Excellence consecutively since 1999.

The Alliance for Workplace Excellence (AWE) is a nonprofit organization founded by Montgomery County, Maryland and Discovery Communications, Inc. which recognizes organizations that foster an environment that cultivates workforce excellence, acts on its beliefs, values differences, empowers employees, ensures safety and security, operates as a global corporate citizen and facilitates employee life and work success.
