Julie Keese Announcement on Promotion to Vice President and Chief Financial Officer to Holy Cross Health and the Maryland Region

Holy Cross Health is pleased to announce the promotion of Julie D. Keese to the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Holy Cross Health and the Maryland Region of Trinity Health. This promotion reflects not only Julie's dedication and expertise but also our commitment to recognizing and fostering the growth of our long-term colleagues.

Julie has been an invaluable part of our organization for two decades, contributing significantly to our financial and revenue cycle operations. Since joining Holy Cross in 2003, she has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership in financial management, revenue cycle operations, and performance improvement. Her strategic thinking and commitment to excellence have been evident throughout her tenure.

Julie has an outstanding history of accomplishments, including navigating Maryland’s complex reimbursement regulations to secure $760 million in Global Budget Revenue funding for Holy Cross Health, leading the transition of local billing and collection functions to the Trinity Health Patient Business Service Center, and chairing the multidisciplinary Denials Reduction Steering Committee, resulting in a significant reduction in payer denials and operational adjustments. In 2021, she played a pivotal role in the successful launch of Epic, serving as the revenue readiness champion.

Julie is a graduate of Nicholls State University in Louisiana with a degree in Accounting and is a certified public accountant. Additionally, she completed the Trinity Health Ministry Leadership Academy and the Trinity Health Strategic Leadership Program. Known for her collaborative and innovative approach to problem-solving, Julie's ability to analyze complex issues and drive results has been a cornerstone of our financial success.

In her new role as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Julie will continue to lead and inspire our financial and revenue teams, ensuring Holy Cross Health remains a financially robust and sustainable healthcare provider.
