(Silver Spring, Maryland) Kevin J. Sexton, President & CEO of Holy Cross Hospital, has received the Maryland Hospital Associations (MHA) highest honor the Distinguished Service Award. The award was presented during MHAs Annual Membership Meeting June 6-7 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md.

MHA, the advocate for Maryland's hospitals, health systems, and the patients they serve, presents the Distinguished Service Award annually to a health care leader who has contributed extensively to the welfare of the people and hospitals in Maryland.

Sexton received the award in recognition of his outstanding service to Maryland's patients, and his dedicated representation of the hospitals that take care of them, during his eight years on Maryland's Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC), an independent state agency that establishes hospital rates.

Sexton's final HSCRC term is ending this year.
