Holy Cross Health Golf Classic Raises More Than $150,000 for Nursing Excellence

More than 150 enthusiastic golfers and nurse volunteers took part in the Holy Cross Health Annual Golf Classic on Monday, May 8, at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD. Thanks to the generous support of physician and corporate sponsors and participants, this year's event raised more than $150,000for Holy Cross Health's nursing excellence programs.
Guests heard from Wendy Friar, Chief Development Officer, Holy Cross Health Foundation; Celia Guarino, Chief Nursing Officer, Holy Cross Health; and Norvell V. Coots, President and CEO, Holy Cross Health who all shared how important this event is to nursing excellence. This support enables Holy Cross Health nurses to receive training to provide excellent patient care and has increased the number of specialty certifications. John Gonzales, of WJLA, served as the evening's master of ceremonies.
