Pediatric Hospitalists

Children's National Medical Center hospital-based physicians are on-site in the Holy Cross Hospital Pediatric Center daily to help in the care of your child. These board-certified physicians, called "pediatric hospitalists," work with your pediatrician to decide the best management plans for your child to receive outstanding care.

Pediatric hospitalists only care for hospitalized patients and can quickly respond to any problems that may arise during a child's stay. They are assisted by pediatric residents who are at the hospital 24 hours a day.

In select cases, should additional specialists be needed, physicians at Holy Cross Hospital and Children's National Medical Center also can collaborate using an immediate telemedicine program. If necessary, we can expedite your child's transfer to Children's National Medical Center and have specialists standing by to treat your child.
