Our Expert Team of Thoracic Surgeons
Our board-certified thoracic surgeons work closely with you, other specialists, and team members, including physician assistants and support staff, to provide a customized treatment plan. Other specialists you may encounter in your treatment journey include:
Gastroenterology: Our team of gastroenterologists works closely with the thoracic surgery team to address upper gastrointestinal and airway issues. They work together to assess and diagnose your condition, then work with you to develop a treatment plan that will help you to achieve your health goals.
Pulmonology: Our thoracic surgeons work closely with your pulmonologist to coordinate any necessary procedures and follow-up care, ensuring a seamless experience from beginning to end.
Radiation Oncology: Our team of radiation oncologists is available for consultation, treatment planning, and delivery of radiation therapy. Together with your surgeon, the team at the Holy Cross Radiation Treatment Center is ready to serve your thoracic cancer needs.
Medical Oncology: In close conjunction with radiation and surgical oncology, our medical oncology team will work with you to plan an individualized cancer treatment course that makes the most sense for you.
Thoracic Surgery at Two Locations
After surgery at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring or Holy Cross Hospital in Germantown, you will be transferred to our private patient rooms. Rooms include a comfortable sleeper sofa for your support person. Amenities also include room-service style meal delivery, free Internet access, and an in-room entertainment center.
