Holy Cross Health offers dialytic therapy to patients with acute renal failure or end-stage renal disease (ESRD). A multidisciplinary team offers inpatient acute hemodialysis, outpatient chronic hemodialysis and inpatient peritoneal dialysis.

Holy Cross Hospital
Holy Cross Hospital is one of only a few hospitals in the area to offer outpatient dialysis services within a hospital setting. The newly renovated space offers a warm and welcoming environment for patients receiving treatment.
The Holy Cross Hospital chronic outpatient hemodialysis unit has 14 patient stations with a patient capacity of 84 patients and provides more than 12,000 treatments annually. The unit is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The acute hemodialysis unit at Holy Cross Hospital consists of six patient stations in the dialysis unit. Equipment is available for staff to dialyze patients throughout the facility, such as intensive care units and medical surgical floors. The acute unit provides an average of 225 to 250 treatments per month. It is open Monday to Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Holy Cross Dialysis Center at Woodmore
The outpatient Holy Cross Dialysis Center is located at 11721 Woodmore Road, Suite 190, Mitchellville, MD 20721. It operates Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The center consists of 15 outpatient hemodialysis stations, with a patient capacity of 90 patients. Kaiser Permanente and Holy Cross Health are working closely together to provide care for their ESRD patients at this facility.
